I love the moment on safari when a traveler slowly shakes their head, looks over at me, and mouths a silent “WOW” as we stand together amazed that we have been blessed to see such wonders with our own eyes. Two weeks together in Africa allows time for shared experiences and extended chats over sundowners that deepen relationships and understanding of our conservation mission in ways that years of lunches and site tours rarely create.

Tim Tetzlaff, Director of Conservation | Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

Our travel program helps us build relationships with donors to engage them in our mission of conservation and to hopefully increase their support of the zoo as well. We have had donors that were somewhat new to the zoo that joined us on our Africa trips, and in some cases, we saw immediate increased giving. We feel travel programs are an important part of the work we do.

Tracey Gazibara, Vice President of Development & Marketing | Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Our zoo and clients were extremely happy with our travels to Africa and the quality of the safaris provided a basis for building relationships with our patrons. The one-on-one service and personal communication with Ujuzi African Travel made a huge difference.

Don Tillman, Development Director | Dickerson Park Zoo

This was my first time traveling abroad and I can honestly say, I was never worried or concerned about anything. I felt totally taken care of and just enjoyed each day as it came—stress-free! You took care of us every step of the way and answered any questions we may have had. This trip was a long time coming, but so very worth the wait.

Kathy Terlizzi, Volunteer Coordinator | Fort Wayne Children's Zoo
