Africa is home to 145 World Heritage Sites, including amazing natural areas, archaeological sites, and vibrant cultural destinations. World Heritage Sites are designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as containing “cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity”.
