Anne Medeiros
Owner
Anne founded Ujuzi African travel in 2008 to create awe-inspiring wildlife and cultural experiences for travelers. Her frequent visits to Africa give her a chance to indulge in one of her favorite activities: exploring wild areas where animals are still in charge, doing what they’ve been doing for thousands of years. At home in Colorado, she enjoys any excuse to get outdoors, whether it’s to climb, hike, mountain bike, camp, or just walk around the block with her kids.
Kathryn Kingsbury
Communications
Kathryn was born a globe trotter, living in three different countries and visiting 14 by the age of eight. In first grade, her favorite picture book was about Kenya and in third grade, she made it a life goal to visit Madagascar after reading about lemurs in National Geographic World (goal fulfilled in 2017!). With a diverse career in journalism and marketing, Kathryn uses her skills to help Ujuzi share the magic of Africa with travelers.
Ursula Edwards
Itinerary Specialist
Born in Bulawayo and raised in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Ursula is a destination management consultant and specialist who uses her knowledge to create Ujuzi’s tailor-made and visually stunning itineraries. With Matobo Hills National Park right on her doorstep, and Hwange and Victoria Falls not too far away, Ursula loves to revel in nature whenever she can. She enjoys horse riding, dancing, and spending time with her kids and the family’s four ever-faithful rescue dogs.
Brandi Wierenga
Bookkeeper
Brandi uses her Master of Professional Accounting to assist with accounting, corporate strategy, bookkeeping, banking, payroll, analysis of financial data, and taxes for Ujuzi. She loves backpacking, snowboarding, rafting, overlanding in her 4runner, and traveling on her motorcycle. An aunt to fourteen nieces and nephews, she’s known for planning outdoor events where her family can share its love of wildlife and the outdoors.

Sarah Waller is a dynamic social media manager who combines her passion for travel with her digital expertise.
Hailing from South Africa, Sarah’s roots in safari and beach vacations have fostered her profound love for the continent, making her a natural fit for Ujuzi African Travel’s mission to connect travelers with the heart of the continent.
